Perthshire-based technology start-up company Pio Design has won a prestigious award in a competition to find the country’s most successful young entrepreneurs.   Founded in 2015 by former Breadalbane Academy Head Boy, Euan Colley (24), Pio Design has developed the most versatile computer keyboard in the world which allows the user to perform any function at the press of a key and to operate in every language across the globe.

With a guarantee of funding up to £10,000, Pio Design has also been put forward by competition organisers, Scottish Edge, to win a further £100,000 in the next stage of the competition which will be determined by a popular vote.

The judging panel described the keyboard as, “perfect for the global market” and noted that the company were, “good leaders and very knowledgeable about their product”.

Business Manager, Bill Colley stated that;

“The endorsement of our product by Scottish Edge is a major breakthrough which we hope and expect to drive demand from home and business users alike, both in Scotland and in most countries across world. Our next goal is to win the main competition so the additional funding will allow us to bring the keyboard to market by Christmas.
