We held our annual Fair Trade Fashion Show 2006 on Friday 20 October at 7 pm. This was produced by Breadalbane Art & Design Department and the Aberfeldy Traidcraft Group.

There was also a special Show by 4th Year Textile Students Emma Fraser, Scottish College of Textiles, Galashiels, and Karen Stewart, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee. These past pupils had collaborated in an item especially for our Fashion Show.   

On March 5, 2006 senior pupils took part in the Angus College Secondary School Competition and Ruadh Mcintosh and Georgina Parkins were Highly Commended and Commended respectively for their entries. Pupils from the Tayside regions competed in a days drawing, painting and designing.

The Rotary Club of Pitlochry hold an annual competition for the Artist & Designer of the Year Award.  Pupils from the Breadalbane Academy Art & Design Department did extremely well this year winning the Overall Artist and Designer Awards and several of the categories...

The Art & Design Department held an Advanced Higher Exhibition in the Aberfeldy Gallery from Saturday 24 July until Thursday 29 July 2006. We are very grateful to Judy Proudfoot, the owner of The Aberfeldy Gallery, who very generously gave us this wonderful space to show off the sixth year Advanced Higher work.  She gave freely of her time and expertise which is very much appreciated. The pupils have worked hard and the work looked impressive.

We had an enjoyable evening with S6 pupils, their family & friends at the opening
of the Advanced Higher Exhibition being held in the Aberfeldy Gallery.
