We then entered the Northern Divisional round on Sat 12th March 2016, also at The Birnam institute, competing against other accomplished groups such as Palace Players (Orkney) and Ury Players Youth (Stonehaven) and we are delighted to report that we also won that round! We are now through to the Scottish Youth Final, which takes place on Sat. 18th June 2016 at the Eastwood Park Theatre in Giffnock. We are very proud and excited! If anybody is free, please feel free to come along and support us!

‘Thespionage’ Drama Festival – FIRST IN BOTH CATEGORIES!
Breadalbane Academy pupils participated in Aberfeldy’s first Drama Festival ‘Thespionage’. (part of the larger Aberfeldy Festival) in November 2015. Pupils performed a variety of well-known and original plays and monologues. There were many participants, including entries from Glasgow School of Art and Birnam Institute players, amongst others. We are delighted to report that our pupils won two prizes: the ‘Critics Choice’ (an original short drama called ‘Them’, written by Ava Broughton-Stuart) and the ‘People’s Prize’ (an original monologue, written and performed by Sarah Boon). Pupils also received a ‘Highly Commended’ award for their performance of extracts from ‘The Importance Being Earnest.’ Congratulations and well done to all!
