The Instrumental Music Service is highly valued and offers our talented children and young people many benefits beyond learning an instrument. We are currently reviewing the Instrumental Music Service as part of the Council’s ongoing programme of service reviews to ensure that our resources are best used to meet the needs of children and young people in Perth and Kinross, and to make the service as accessible as possible.

To ensure that the needs, interests and experiences of the pupils receiving music tuition and their parents are considered as part of this review we are undertaking a survey of pupils and their parents/carers. I am writing to give you advance notice of the survey which will run from Monday 23 March – Friday 24 April 2015 and I would be very grateful if you could promote the survey, which can be accessed at the link below, through your school and community networks to ensure as many pupils, parents and other interested parties even as non-users can respond. To help you answer any queries about the survey I have attached an FAQ and you may wish to share this along with the link below.
The information gathered through this process will be used alongside service and performance data and national benchmarking information to help identify areas where we need to maintain, strengthen or improve our services.
Instrumental Music Service Survey – PLEASE DO NOT COMPLETE THE SURVEY UNTIL MONDAY 23 MARCH AS YOUR RESPONSES WILL NOT BE CAPTURED

The survey can be made available in other formats and Instrumental Music Staff can provide paper copies for those unable to access the online link.
Thank you in advance for your assistance in promoting this survey. If you have any questions or queries regarding the survey then please do not hesitate to contact either Allan Young, Instrumental Music Co-ordinator (AYoung@pkc.gov.uk ) or myself (Helen Smout – HSmout@pkc.gov.uk )
